Trinity’s Queen’s Canopy is now in the ground
The Working Party got together on Saturday 12th February in the Glebe Field and made light work of the task of getting all the trees, shrubs and hedging in the ground, under the watchful eye of Anna Bradstock. The Parish has very kindly been advised on the design of the planting scheme and layout by Anna, who is passionate about trees having worked with the planting groups at Harcourt Arboretum outside Oxford when living in the UK. The trees and shrubs are mainly cultivars of native UK species which should provide spring blossom, fruit and glorious autumn colour which we hope will encourage both wildlife and visitors to enjoy a beautiful space all year round.
It was wonderful to see everyone of all ages working together to achieve something that will hopefully bring joy not only to us, but to many future generations of Trinn’tais and visitors to the Parish. We had parishioners in their first decade working alongside parishioners in their ninth decade. It was teamwork at its best!
